Toyota names Mark Templin North America CEO effective Jan. 1, 2027
TM•Toyota named Mark Templin North America CEO effective January 1, 2027. The management changes also name leaders for China, Asia, robotics and workforce development.
1. Leadership changes
Mark Templin, who currently works at Toyota Motor North America, will become North America CEO on January 1, 2027. Sukenaga Ota, general manager of Lexus Sales and Engagement Promotion, will become China CEO, and Masando Hashimoto will take over as Asia CEO after working at Toyota Motor Philippines.
2. New management groups
Chief Production Officer Takefumi Shiga will also head the newly established Toyota Robotics, which will consolidate robotics expertise to accelerate commercialization. Board Chairman Akio Toyoda will lead the new Toyota Philosophy and Education Group, making workforce development a management priority.
