1. 2027 Highlander EV Launch

The all-electric 2027 Highlander marks Toyota's first three-row BEV assembled in the U.S., built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky. It seats up to seven passengers and offers over 45 cubic feet of cargo space with the third row folded flat.

2. Powertrain and Performance

Available in XLE and Limited AWD grades, the Highlander offers a standard 77.0-kWh battery or 95.8-kWh option on AWD models. The larger battery delivers a manufacturer-estimated 320-mile range, up to 338 combined system horsepower and 323 lb.-ft. of torque.

3. Charging and Vehicle-to-Load Technology

The model features a North American Charging System (NACS) port for access to thousands of DC fast chargers and introduces Vehicle-to-Load capability, enabling owners to power external devices or provide emergency backup power.

4. Prius Recall Details

Toyota is recalling 141,000 Prius and Prius Prime vehicles to address a door latch defect that could allow doors to open unexpectedly while driving. Dealers will replace or repair the affected door components at no cost to owners.
