Toyota September sales, production slide for a third straight month
TM•Toyota’s global vehicle sales fell 2.2% year over year to 860,107 in September, while production dropped 3.2% to 889,079. Sales declined in China and the Middle East but rose in Japan and the United States.

Toyota Motor said global vehicle sales and production decreased for a third straight month in September. Sales in China fell 19.7%, marking an eighth consecutive monthly decline, while Middle East sales slumped 29.8%; sales rose 1.8% in Japan and 8.4% in the United States.
2. Regional output trends
Production fell 18.6% in China and 2.9% in the United States, while it rose 5.8% in Japan. Toyota’s figures include its Lexus brand.
