1. Toyota posts April US sales decline
Toyota reported 179,149 unit sales in the US for April, down 10.7% from 200,560 units a year ago. The weaker performance dragged its January–April total to 614,382 vehicles, a 3.1% decrease year-on-year, as supply chain constraints and reduced fleet purchases weighed on results.
2. Honda US deliveries down sharply
Honda’s US deliveries fell 20.9% in April to 110,023 units, compared with 139,113 units in the same month last year. That steep drop has driven its January–April volume down to 431,056 vehicles, marking a 9.9% year-on-year decline amid softer consumer demand and inventory adjustments.
