Transocean adds about $62 million to contract backlog with Norske Shell award

Transocean Norge won a two-well contract from A/S Norske Shell worth about $62 million in firm backlog, excluding additional services. The work is expected to take about 120 days and start directly after the rig’s current Norway programs.

Transocean reported contract backlog of about $1.1 billion, including a $1 billion Equinor agreement now counted as firm backlog. The Equinor deal covers three harsh environment semisubmersible rigs operating in Norway.
