Transocean said it issued a quarterly fleet status report, flagging about $292 million of incremental backlog tied to five firm contract awards or extensions.
Total backlog stood at about $6.7 billion as of Aug. 5, 2026, excluding a separate Equinor agreement valued at about $1 billion that remains subject to partner approvals.
The Equinor deal covers three harsh-environment semisubmersibles on the Norwegian shelf with terms of three years, two years, or two years.
