Its FrontLobby deal adds rent information from 60,000 providers covering one million units, reducing delinquencies by up to 92%.
1. TransUnion Honored as Gold Winner for Best Branded Call Solution
On January 28, 2026, Juniper Research named TransUnion the 2026 Future Digital Awards Gold Winner in the Telco Innovation category for Best Branded Call Solution. This recognition follows rapid adoption of TransUnion’s Branded Call Display, which combines verified name, logo and reason for call with end-to-end STIR/SHAKEN authentication. In 2025 the solution also captured three additional industry awards: TMC Communications Solutions Product of the Year, the Stevie Silver for Technology Excellence: Technology of the Year, and the Internet Telephony Excellence Award. Together, these four honors reflect strong market validation of TransUnion’s technology leadership in fraud prevention and customer engagement.
2. Expansion of Rental Payment Reporting with Zenbase Partnership
TransUnion and Zenbase announced on January 28, 2026 a strategic alliance to incorporate rental payment data from approximately five million Canadian households into TransUnion’s credit reports. Under this arrangement, rental payments will be reported in a dedicated category—distinct from traditional credit obligations—so that on-time rent contributes to credit‐building without being classified as debt. Through direct integration with over 200,000 homes already using Zenbase’s platform, property managers can enable rent reporting with no added administrative burden, helping renters showcase responsible payment behavior and potentially increase their credit scores.
3. New FrontLobby Collaboration to Broaden Credit Access
On the same day, TransUnion unveiled a partnership with FrontLobby to further expand rental payment reporting across Canada. FrontLobby serves more than 60,000 housing providers managing in excess of one million rental units and has recorded up to a 92% reduction in delinquencies among participating buildings. By adding this data as a separate reporting category, TransUnion expects to enhance lenders’ visibility into tenant reliability and enable Canadians who rent to build credit history through consistent, on-time payments.
