Tredegar reported a $2.83 million net loss from continuing operations in the third quarter, contrasting with a profit in the year-earlier period. The company cited market pressures, higher input costs and weaker demand in key segments.
Aluminum Extrusions sales volume fell 11.6% year over year, with declines in building and construction, consumer durables and automotive markets. High Performance Films surface protection sales volume dropped 18.6% amid a weaker consumer electronics market and inventory corrections. Increased labor, maintenance, metal and resin costs also affected profitability; some cost increases were only partially offset by price adjustments.
Tredegar expects to begin realizing benefits from its One Tredegar initiative in the first quarter of 2027. It said memory chip market pressures may continue to affect High Performance Films through 2026.
