Trex Company has diverted over 5.5 billion pounds of plastic film since founding and currently repurposes more than 1 billion pounds of plastic and wood scrap annually into composite decking boards made from 95% recycled materials.

2. NexTrex Program Expansion

The NexTrex initiative has grown to over 10,000 partners across Grassroots, Community, and Retail tiers, collectively recycling 370 million pounds of PE film each year and incentivizing participants with compensation and community challenges.

3. Reclaimed Wood Sourcing

Trex sources wood scrap and sawdust exclusively from reclaimed and sustainably certified suppliers, with 94% of materials verified as sustainable and innovative projects like using end-of-life orchard trees in Fernley, Nevada, to support local agriculture and reduce waste.
