1. Drilling completed
Trilogy Metals completed all 42 planned holes across approximately 5,200 meters in its 2026 field program at the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects. Ambler Metals, its 50/50 joint venture with South32, will use the drilling data to finalize Arctic’s mine design and support permitting.
2. Permitting and development
Exploration target assessments along the 100-kilometer mineral belt will guide expanded drilling planned for 2027. Arctic’s draft environmental impact statement is targeted for October 2027, and a record of decision could follow in September 2028 before a construction decision. David Thomas was appointed Ambler Metals’ senior vice president of project development to lead Arctic’s engineering and development.
