Truist names D. Steve Boland vice chair
TFC•Truist named D. Steve Boland vice chair, appointed Shimna Sameer chief consumer banking officer and Jeff Warner chief small business banking officer, and announced other wealth leadership changes and Dontá Wilson’s departure.
1. Leadership changes
Boland previously served as Bank of America’s chief administrative officer before retiring in 2025. Sameer joins Truist with more than 20 years of experience in consumer banking, wealth and private banking at Bank of America, while Warner joins from PNC, where he most recently led small business. Jeff Dunn becomes interim wealth co-head alongside wealth brokerage head Bryan Cram, and Dontá Wilson, chief consumer and small business banking officer, will leave the bank.
