Truist names Harold Ford Jr. vice chair of wholesale banking

Truist named Harold Ford Jr. vice chair in Wholesale Banking, effective Aug. 31.

The role targets new business opportunities, deeper client relationships and policy advice across commercial, corporate, institutional and wealth management clients.

Ford will report to Chief Wholesale Banking Officer Kristin Lesher.

He joins from PNC, where he was executive vice president and regional president for New York.

Previous roles include leadership posts at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.
