WASHINGTON, Aug. 19 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that helicopter manufacturer Sikorsky will pay for the White House helipad under construction.
Trump is building a marble landing pad for Marine One as part of his controversial renovation of the White House, which includes a state ballroom and underground military suite. The helipad is near completion, Trump said, after he ordered it to be redone to eliminate a gradual slope meant to help drain rainwater.
