Aug. 3 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to attend a State Department-hosted roundtable on Friday with top mining executives, according to two people familiar with the planning.
The meeting comes amid U.S. efforts to expand domestic and allied supplies of critical minerals needed for energy, defense and advanced technologies. The agenda, participants and other details of the event remain fluid and could change, the people said.
The White House and State Department did not immediately comment.
