XLK•President Donald Trump's Tuesday meeting with tech CEOs will focus on balancing AI innovation and oversight, House Speaker Mike Johnson said. Mark Zuckerberg, Dario Amodei and Greg Brockman are expected to attend, while other executives may also join.

Johnson said the meeting would address how to continue AI innovation while providing transparency and oversight. He said the United States does not need a moratorium or to “hyper-regulate” the technology, but should be mindful of safety.

Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, Anthropic's Dario Amodei and OpenAI's Greg Brockman will attend the meeting with Trump and Johnson, sources familiar with the matter said. Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and xAI executive Elon Musk are possible attendees.
3. Calls for government action
The meeting comes as leading AI companies call for slowing development of increasingly capable systems and for governments to work together on managing the technology. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Congress has a responsibility to protect the public and should act boldly and responsibly on AI safety.
