TRX Gold presents Buckreef processing expansion plan with new 3,500-tonne-per-day plant
TRX•TRX Gold plans to add a 3,500-plus-tonne-per-day mill at its Buckreef operation in Tanzania alongside its existing 2,000-tonne-per-day plant. Fiscal 2026 production was 29,650 ounces; last-12-month revenue was US$115.5 million and adjusted EBITDA was US$66.8 million.
1. Buckreef expansion plan
TRX Gold plans to expand its Buckreef processing plant in Tanzania with a new mill rated at more than 3,500 tonnes per day, alongside the existing 2,000-tonne-per-day plant. An updated preliminary economic assessment targeting higher production rates and improved recoveries is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
2. Production and finances
Fiscal 2026 gold production reached 29,650 ounces, within guidance of 25,000–30,000 ounces. Last-12-month revenue totaled US$115.5 million, with adjusted EBITDA of US$66.8 million. Cash stood at US$26.8 million against borrowings of US$2.9 million.
