1. Court dismisses claims
The Istanbul appeals court on October 22, 2026, overturned a June 24 ruling against Marti Technologies’ ride-sharing platform, Marti TAG, and unanimously dismissed unfair competition claims brought by Turkish trade associations. The court rejected requests to block access to the services, finding that the platform does not directly provide transportation services, its activities were not unfair competition, and its advertising was not misleading.
2. Appeal remains possible
The decision is not final. Plaintiffs have two weeks from service of the reasoned decision to appeal to the Turkish Court of Cassation, and all services continue operating uninterrupted.
