TXU Energy Donates $150K for 5,000 Fans, 600 AC Units at 30 Events
VST•TXU Energy is donating $150,000 to distribute over 5,000 box fans and 600 window air conditioning units across 30 Texas communities this summer. The initiative also extends bill-payment aid through TXU Energy Aid, which has funded $140 million in assistance over 40 years.

TXU Energy has allocated $150,000 to relaunch its annual Beat the Heat program, aiming to enhance community resilience during Texas’s hottest months. The funding supports partnerships with local nonprofits to maximize reach and resource distribution.
2. Cooling Resources Distribution
Through more than 30 community events statewide, TXU Energy will distribute over 5,000 box fans and 600 window air conditioning units to low-income households and seniors. Key cities include Dallas, Houston, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, Midland, and Fort Worth.
3. Bill-Payment Assistance Expansion
TXU Energy Aid will provide bill-payment support to vulnerable customers to prevent service disconnections during peak heat. The fund has disbursed $140 million over forty years, reflecting sustained commitment to community assistance.
