Q2 loss widens as R&D rises
UK-US oncology biotech Akari Therapeutics said its second-quarter net loss widened year over year as research and development spending increased.
The company said higher R&D expenses reflected expanded development and manufacturing activities for AKTX-101.
Pipeline and collaboration updates
Akari continued IND-enabling work for AKTX-101, with the goal of starting a Phase 1 clinical trial in mid-2027.
The company also said its collaboration with Whitehawk Therapeutics aims to expand the PH1 platform into dual-payload antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
