UMH Properties Offers Zero-Down Lending to Veterans Across 145 Communities
UMH•UMH Properties launched a zero-down payment lending program through its Community Ownership Plan with Triad Financial Services, enabling qualified U.S. veterans to purchase manufactured homes under VA-like terms. UMH owns and operates 145 manufactured home communities spanning roughly 27,100 sites, including 11,200 rental homes and over 1,000 self-storage units.
1. New Zero-Down Lending Program for Veterans
UMH Properties introduced a zero-down payment lending option for qualified U.S. veterans under its Community Ownership Plan, aiming to expand homeownership in manufactured home communities previously ineligible for VA loans. The program’s structure aligns veteran purchasers with low upfront costs and financing terms comparable to existing VA loan offerings.
2. Partnership and Financing Terms
The promotion is executed in collaboration with Triad Financial Services, which will underwrite the zero-down loans and administer credit approvals. This initiative mirrors VA loan structures by eliminating down payments and providing veterans access to land-lease community homes under standardized repayment schedules.
