SLB Capturi has been selected by Uniper as the preferred carbon capture technology licensor for the proposed Connah's Quay Low Carbon Power project in the UK.
The selection followed a competitive FEED process launched in December 2024; the project targets up to 1.38 GW in two phases.
Deployment would use the Big Catch amine-based system, designed for flexible gas-turbine operation with lower-concentration CO2 streams.
The contract scope remains conditional on a final investment decision plus EPC awards; the first phase could start operations in 2030.
