Premium growth and renewal pricing
Net written premium rose 9%; average renewal rate change was 2.9%, with property under pressure, modest general liability pressure, and umbrella double-digit increases.
Investment income and capital priorities
Net investment income increased 33% to $29 million; fixed maturity income rose 24% to $26.3 million; and new money yields were 5.1%.
CFO prioritized growth capital, then the $0.20 quarterly dividend; 2,000,000 shares remain authorized for buybacks as a third priority.
