Shield is the first and only blood-based colorectal screening test included in both ACS and NCCN guidelines.

UnitedHealth Group now provides coverage for Guardant Health’s Shield blood test for colorectal cancer screening for eligible members aged 45 and older, increasing access to over 100 million covered lives including approximately 40 million under employer, individual and Medicare Advantage plans.

Shield is the first and only FDA-approved blood-based screening test included in both American Cancer Society and National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines, offering a methylation partitioning cell-free DNA assay that can be performed with a routine blood draw.
