Quarterly earnings and revenue
UnitedHealth posted Q2 2026 net earnings attributable to shareholders of USD 5.48 billion, lifting diluted EPS to USD 6.04 from USD 3.74 a year earlier.
Operating earnings climbed to USD 7.99 billion from USD 5.15 billion, while revenue edged up to USD 112.0 billion from USD 111.6 billion.
Margins and UnitedHealthcare performance
Medical cost ratio narrowed to 86.7% from 89.4%, while operating cost ratio widened to 12.7% from 12.3%.
UnitedHealthcare revenue held at USD 86.0 billion, but earnings rose to USD 3.9 billion from USD 2.1 billion; customers served slipped to 48.5 million.
