UPS•UPS plans to hire 100,000 seasonal workers nationwide for the 2026 holiday peak and expects to deliver more than 4 billion RFID-enabled packages by year-end.
1. Peak-season plans
UPS plans to hire 100,000 seasonal workers nationwide and aims for a ninth straight period of top on-time performance. The company also plans automation upgrades at facilities in Denver, St. Paul, Syracuse and Portland, and introduced Protected Delivery for eligible shipments, which requires a recipient PIN before release.
2. Tracking and delivery
UPS expects to deliver more than 4 billion RFID-enabled packages by the end of 2026, expanding real-time shipment visibility across its U.S. network.
