Upstream Bio to Present Phase 2 CRSwNP Responder Data at EAACI June 14
UPB•Upstream Bio will present responder analysis from its Phase 2 VIBRANT trial of verekitug in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps at EAACI 2026 on June 14 in Istanbul. The session will detail proportions of patients achieving clinically meaningful improvements in key disease measures with the TSLP receptor antagonist.
1. Presentation Overview
Upstream Bio will deliver an oral presentation titled “Verekitug, a novel TSLP receptor antagonist antibody, in participants with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps in VIBRANT: responder analysis using clinically meaningful efficacy outcome thresholds” at the EAACI 2026 Congress in Istanbul on June 14. Presenting author Joaquim Mullol, MD, PhD, will discuss the proportion of patients in the VIBRANT trial who achieved predefined improvements in nasal obstruction, polyp size and patient-reported outcomes.
2. Verekitug Mechanism
Verekitug is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody that binds and inhibits the thymic stromal lymphopoietin receptor, blocking upstream inflammatory signaling. It is the only TSLP receptor antagonist in clinical development, targeting the cytokine cascade that drives IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, IL-17 and IgE activation.
3. Clinical Trial Program
The Phase 2 VIBRANT trial (NCT06164704) in CRSwNP completed with positive data leading to this responder analysis. The VALIANT trial (NCT06196879) in severe asthma is complete, the VENTURE trial (NCT06981078) in moderate-to-severe COPD is ongoing, and the VALOUR long-term extension in severe asthma began enrollment in May 2025.
