UroGen Pharma dosed the first patient in a Phase 1 trial of UGN-501, an investigational oncolytic virus for recurrent non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The study will assess the safety and tolerability of administering the treatment directly into the bladder, with results intended to determine a recommended Phase 2 dose.
2. Treatment design
UGN-501 is designed to destroy tumor cells and activate an antitumor immune response. The trial uses an aqueous formulation without RTGel.
