US crude oil output rose in July, while petroleum demand declined, EIA says
USO•US crude oil output rose to 13.95 million barrels per day in July from 13.84 million in June, while demand fell to 20.61 million barrels per day from 20.74 million. Natural gas production reached a monthly record of 137.0 billion cubic feet per day.

US crude oil output rose to 13.95 million barrels per day in July, up from 13.84 million in June, while demand for crude oil and petroleum products fell to 20.61 million barrels per day from 20.74 million. The monthly records were 14.00 million barrels per day for output in October 2025 and 21.67 million barrels per day for demand in August 2005.
2. Natural gas production
US gross natural gas production rose to a monthly record 137.0 billion cubic feet per day in July, from 135.5 billion in June, topping the previous record of 136.0 billion in December 2025. Texas output rose about 3% to a monthly record 40.1 billion cubic feet per day, while Pennsylvania output fell about 1% to 20.9 billion.
