US energy cos rise as crude hovers near six-week high

Shares of U.S. energy companies gained in premarket trading, tracking higher crude prices.
Brent crude futures LCOc1 were up about 4% at $94.61 a barrel, and U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures CLc1 rose 4.2% to $87.87 a barrel.
Energy majors, producers, service firms and refiners gain
Energy majors Exxon Mobil XOM.N and Chevron CVX.N were up 1.1% each.
Oil and gas producers Devon Energy DVN.N gained 1.9%, Occidental Petroleum OXY.N added 1.4%, APA Corp APA.O rose 0.6% and SM Energy SM.N was up 1%.
Oilfield services company Baker Hughes BKR.O rose 0.7% and peer SLB SLB.N gained 0.9%.
Refiners Phillips 66 PSX.N gained 1.1% and Marathon Petroleum MPC.N was up 1.6%.
