US energy stocks rise after strikes on Saudi Arabia

Oil prices rise after new strikes on Saudi Arabian energy infrastructure and attacks on ships in the Middle East compounded supply concerns.
Brent crude futures LCOc1 are up 4.3% at $109.02/barrel and U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude CLc1 jumps 3.9% to $103.95/barrel.
Oil prices surged around 9% last week as attacks in the Middle East escalated, with Brent rising above $100/barrel for the first time since July.
Major oil producers and refiners advance
Top oil and gas companies Exxon Mobil XOM.N and Chevron CVX.N rise 1.3% and about 1%, respectively.
APA Corp APA.O, Marathon Petroleum MPC.N, Diamondback Energy FANG.O and EOG Resources EOG.N rise between 2% and 3.5%; among the top percentage gainers on the energy index.
Refiners Phillips 66 PSX.N and Valero Energy VLO.N are up 1.3% and 1.7%, respectively.
