The Federal Aviation Administration approved JetBlue’s acquisition of 22 slots at New York’s LaGuardia Airport from defunct Spirit Airlines. JetBlue agreed to purchase the slots for $58.5 million in June; the FAA barred trading or leasing them through April 2028 and waived use-or-lose requirements through April so JetBlue can start service in new markets or add service.
