US gasoline stocks fell 1.68 million barrels last week to 204.4 million barrels, the lowest level since November 2014, the Energy Information Administration said. Midwest gasoline stocks fell 1.8 million barrels from the prior week to a record low of 41.8 million barrels.
2. Crude production rises
US crude oil production rose to about 14 million barrels per day last week, a record high, the EIA said.
