US Halloween spending poised to reach record $13.5 billion, Blend Financial says
SPY•US Halloween spending is projected to reach a record $13.5 billion this year, up from $13.1 billion last year. Costume spending is expected to total $4.4 billion, decorations $4.3 billion and candy $4.1 billion.

Pet costumes are forecast to account for $920 million of costume spending. Halloween participation is expected to reach 74% of Americans, compared with 68% in 2019.
2. Earlier shopping
Some 49% of consumers started shopping in September or earlier, compared with 34% a decade ago.
