US health insurers mixed after CMS releases 2027 ratings
XLV•US health insurers' shares were mixed in extended trading after CMS released 2027 Medicare Advantage ratings. Humana rose about 14%, while UnitedHealth fell about 0.5% and CVS Health dropped 4%; CMS said 71% of enrollees were in plans rated four stars or higher.

CMS said 71% of Medicare Advantage prescription drug enrollees will be in plans rated four stars or higher in 2027. About 37% of contracts to be offered that year earned at least four stars overall. The agency rates Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plans on a one-to-five-star scale, with five stars indicating the highest quality.
