US-listed ETFs on course for record annual inflows, State Street says
SPY•US-listed ETFs drew more than $1.54 trillion through September, exceeding the full-year record of $1.52 trillion set in 2025. State Street Investment Management expects inflows to reach $2.3 trillion by year end.
1. Inflows exceed annual record
US-listed ETFs attracted more than $1.54 trillion through the end of September, already topping the $1.52 trillion annual record set in 2025. State Street Investment Management global head of research strategists Matthew Bartolini expects inflows to reach $2.3 trillion by year end.
2. Equity funds lead
Equity ETFs took in more than $1 trillion, followed by fixed-income funds with over $469 billion. Technology funds led sector inflows at more than $59 billion, while financials saw outflows of over $3.8 billion. Funds tracking US stocks attracted about $655 billion, and those tracking international developed markets took in $150.4 billion.
