Navy awards submarine imaging contract to L3Harris
L3Harris won a USD 139 million U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command award to continue supplying Low-Profile Masts for Virginia- and Columbia-class submarines.
Contract covers delivery of masts with visible and infrared imaging that replace hull-penetrating periscopes on the Navy’s nuclear submarine fleet.
Work includes engineering support for Type 20 and Type 24 systems, with L3Harris as prime contractor and design agent through fleet delivery.
