US ocean container imports set new record for September, Descartes says
SPY•US container imports rose 10.3% year over year in September to a record 2.55 million TEUs, while shipments from China increased 21.2%.

US container imports reached 2.55 million 20-foot equivalent units in September, up 10.3% from a year earlier and a new record for the month. Imports from China rose 21.2% to 924,454 TEUs, or 36.3% of total volume; imports in the first nine months of 2026 were up 0.8% from the same period in 2025.
