The S&P 500 and Nasdaq hit record highs on Tuesday as investors looked ahead to the upcoming quarterly earnings season. At 11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.71% at 51,630.74, the S&P 500 was up 0.84% at 7,839.01, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.81% at 27,700.65.
2. Notable stock moves
Constellation Energy rose 13.3%, the biggest percentage gain among S&P 500 stocks, after Alphabet entered into a multi-year energy deal with the company. Becton Dickinson rose after pledging a $19 billion U.S. investment for tariff relief, while Marvell Technology hit a three-month high after raising its fiscal 2028 revenue forecast.
