US Stocks-Wall St futures rise as AI stocks gain, oil prices slide

At 05:09 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis YMcv1 were up 311 points, or 0.6%, and S&P 500 E-minis EScv1 were up 48.75 points, or 0.63%. Nasdaq 100 E-minis NQcv1 were up 327.25 points, or 1.09%.
Also aiding sentiment was a diplomatic breakthrough between the United States and Denmark over the weekend regarding the status of Greenland, which is likely to keep trade tensions between the two countries at bay.
U.S.-listed shares of companies exposed to Greenland advanced. Critical Metals CRML.O soared 30%, Greenland Mines GRML.O shot up 70% and Greenland Energy GLND.O more than doubled.
Diplomacy will be in focus on Thursday at a China-U.S. summit that could likely touch topics including an extension of the trade truce between the two superpowers, the Iran war and regulation on AI advancement. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng concluded talks on Sunday at which Bessent proposed a new AI safety notification mechanism.
