US Stocks-Wall St set to open higher on tech rebound before Nvidia results, inflation data
SPY•Wall Street set for a higher open
Wall Street was on track to open higher on Tuesday, as technology stocks recovered from a selloff ahead of AI heavyweight Nvidia's results and an inflation report key to shaping interest rate expectations.
The gains could ease investor concerns sparked by a recent bond market rout that has pushed yields higher and pressured equities. They could also help set the tone before September, a historically weaker month for stocks.
Most megacaps were trading higher before the bell, with Nvidia and Meta gaining 1.3% and 0.9%, respectively.
Chipmakers Intel and Micron added 3.5% and 2.5%, respectively. Data-storage companies Western Digital and Sandisk rose 3% and 3.7%, respectively.
Advanced Micro Devices rose 3.2% after Raymond James upgraded the stock.
