The S&P 500 consumer discretionary sector .SPLRCD was the biggest weight and was off 1.3%, dragged by losses in Amazon AMZN.O and Tesla TSLA.O. Gains in Nvidia NVDA.O and Apple AAPL.O helped limit declines.
