MSFT•Vice President JD Vance said the US was suspending Microsoft from a program that allows skilled foreign workers to gain permanent residency, citing alleged fraud. The labor secretary said other suspended firms include Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL, Capgemini and Adobe.
Vance said the federal government was suspending Microsoft from the residency program. Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling said other firms being suspended include Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL, Capgemini and Adobe.
Vance said nine universities, including Harvard, Yale and Stanford, would be investigated over allegations they brought in international students to undercut American wages. Labor Inspector General Anthony D'Esposito said subpoenas had already been served.
