US weekly refiner inputs rose to highest in nearly seven years, EIA data shows
XLE•U.S. refiners reach highest weekly crude input since 2019
U.S. refiners' net input of crude oil rose to about 17.4 million barrels per day in the week ended August 14, the highest since September 2019, data from the Energy Information Administration showed on Wednesday.
Refiners along the U.S. Gulf Coast pulled crude at the fastest pace in eight years last week, the data showed. Gulf Coast refiners' net input of crude averaged 9.62 million bpd last week, up from 9.59 million bpd in the week prior to last, the data showed.
