Vaalco’s Etame 14H Flows 4,850 BOPD; Baobab FPSO Set for Q2 Restart

Vaalco’s Etame 14H development well in Gabon yielded 325 meters of net pay in Gamba sands and achieved an initial gross flow rate of 4,850 BOPD (2,850 net BOPD). The Baobab FPSO returned to Côte d’Ivoire after a 47-day refurbishment tow, is moored and reconnecting risers and umbilicals, with production restart on track for Q2 2026.

1. Etame 14H Well Results

The Etame 14H development well in the Main Fault Block encountered 325 meters of net pay in high-quality Gamba reservoir sands, delivering an initial gross flow rate of approximately 4,850 barrels of oil per day (2,850 BOPD net to the company) in an attic position.

2. Drilling Campaign at Ebouri Platform

Following the Etame success, the rig was mobilized to the Ebouri platform where drilling commenced on the EEBOM-5H development well targeting an updip attic position by sidetracking the previously abandoned EEBOM-5P well, with plans to work over two additional wells on the license.

3. Baobab FPSO Reinstallation and Q2 Production

The Baobab FPSO completed a 47-day tow from Dubai and was fully moored in Côte d’Ivoire on April 2; reconnection of risers and umbilicals is underway, with field production scheduled to resume by the end of Q2 2026.
