Vale’s board moved to dismiss director Marcelo Gasparino da Silva over a confirmed leak of confidential information tied to the June 19, 2026 meeting.
The decision followed recommendations from the Audit and Risks Committee and the audit and compliance function, based on an independent external investigation.
The board will take the dismissal proposal to shareholders for a vote at a general meeting.
Gasparino was also removed from the Nomination and Governance Committee and the People and Compensation Committee.
