Vale names Wilfred Theodoor Bruijn as lead independent director effective Aug. 1, 2026

Vale’s board met July 30, 2026 to reset key governance roles effective Aug. 1, 2026.

Wilfred Theodoor Bruijn was confirmed as Lead Independent Director through the end of the current term.

Independent director Reinaldo Duarte Castanheira Filho was elected vice-chairman through the end of the current term.

Directors also revised the Nomination and Governance Committee’s internal regulations; Marcelo Gasparino abstained on key votes citing a conflict.
