Vale posts 35% fall in Q2 net profit; narrows nickel, copper output outlook

SAO PAULO, July 30 (Reuters) - Brazilian mining firm Vale VALE3.SA posted on Thursday a 35% decline in its second-quarter net profit from a year earlier, to $1.38 billion.
Buyback, dividends and production outlook
In separate filings, the company also announced a new share buyback program of up to 100 million shares, unveiled dividends and narrowed the range of its copper and nickel production estimates for 2026.
