Port Arthur refinery affected by storm-related power outage

Sept. 2 (Reuters) - Valero's VLO.N Port Arthur, Texas refinery experienced a partial and temporary third-party power outage due to Tropical Storm Edouard that caused several process upsets, according to a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality filing on Wednesday.

The filing said the refinery immediately began making process adjustments to stabilize operations and stop flaring.

Edouard is currently a tropical depression, and is expected to weaken over the next 12 to 18 hours.
