Valero Texas City refinery reports emissions from Complex 6 leak

During routine rounds, operations personnel discovered a leak from a flange on a crude oil transfer line at the refinery’s Complex 6. The leak resulted in an estimated release of approximately 190 barrels of crude oil to the ground and associated emissions.
2. Cleanup efforts
The refinery said cleanup and remediation efforts were initiated promptly to minimize environmental impact and associated emissions. The refinery has a capacity of 225,000 barrels per day.
