Valhi Reports $53.2M Q4 Loss on $494.5M Revenue
Valhi Inc. posted a $53.2 million net loss, or $1.86 per share, in Q4 on revenue of $494.5 million. Full-year 2025 results showed a $57.6 million loss, or $2.02 per share, on $2.08 billion revenue, as Chemicals segment posted a $60.1 million operating loss and TiO2 prices fell 8%.

Valhi recorded a net loss of $53.2 million, or $1.86 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2025, compared with net income of $22.8 million, or $0.80 per share, in the year-ago period. Revenue for Q4 stood at $494.5 million, down slightly due to lower average TiO2 selling prices and volume shifts.
2. Full-Year 2025 Performance
For the full year, Valhi reported a net loss of $57.6 million, or $2.02 per share, on revenue of $2.08 billion, reversing from net income of $108.0 million, or $3.79 per share, in 2024. The swing reflects non-cash deferred tax expenses totaling $19.3 million and lower operating results in its Chemicals segment.
3. Chemicals Segment Challenges
The Chemicals segment posted an operating loss of $60.1 million in Q4 and $24.5 million for the year, compared to operating income of $32.6 million and $138.5 million, respectively, in 2024. Average TiO2 selling prices declined 8% in Q4 and 10% for the year, while capacity utilization fell to 55% in Q4 and averaged 77% for 2025.
